Fran holds a Bachelor of Commerce (2005) and Bachelor of Nursing (1994) from the University of Tasmania, and is a Golden Key Society Member.
In her previous nursing career Fran practiced as a registered nurse and midwife for twelve years, was Director of Admissions at the Queen Alexandra Hospital and later worked as a registered nurse with Tas IVF before undertaking her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Tasmania. in 2001.
Fran is also a mother of four.
