John graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1996 having completed a combined Bachelor of Arts and Laws degree. He immediately commenced work with Abetz Curtis and was involved in most areas of the practice.

John subsequently moved to London for a number of years, working mainly in the banking industry with JPMorgan and Bank of New York.

Returning to Australia he moved to Melbourne and worked as an in-house lawyer in a number of large corporations, including Australia Post, Superpartners, REA Group and UniSuper.

Now with a young family, John has returned to live in Tasmania and to the firm where he began his career.
